Our students and teachers had so much fun dressing up and showing their school spirit during last week’s Homecoming Spirit Week! From creative outfits to lots of school pride, it was a great week of fun throughout our schools. 💙🤍

Here's what's happening this week in our Jr. High and Sr. High

Tobi Anderson is the kind of student who just makes it look easy, even when you know he’s putting in the work. He brings a genuine focus to the classroom, tackling tough classes without losing his drive. At the end of the week that same work ethic translates directly to the football field. Tobi leads by example and stays composed under pressure. Balancing high-level academics with a demanding sports schedule isn’t easy, but Tobi handles it with incredible maturity. He earns this nomination.

Students who enjoy just 20 minutes of reading a day in class can encounter nearly 1.8 million words a year!

It’s Homecoming Friday! We’ve had so much fun celebrating Homecoming Week, and today is the big day!

Last night, our football team and sideline cheer team enjoyed a team dinner, and this morning they kicked off Game Day by greeting our elementary students as they arrived at school. What a great way to start the day! 🙌

Daughter of- Nicole and Jeremy Pipp

Marisa is someone who consistently strives to make the people around her better. She treats everyone with kindness and carries a genuine joy and happiness with her each day. She is dependable, trustworthy, reliable, hardworking, innovative, and creative.

This year, Marisa has also challenged herself by learning welding at the Tech Center. She is always willing to help fellow students and staff. Her character, compassion, and willingness to serve others are qualities that make a lasting impact on our school community and reflect the kind of person our world needs more of.

Beyond the classroom, Marisa is involved in Art Club, YAC, Drama Club, Leo Club, and Key Club. She also participates on the Norway Tennis Team and the Kingsford Swim Team, demonstrating her commitment to both her school and community.

Keep shining your light, Marisa! The positive difference you make in the lives of others does not go unnoticed.

We are proud to recognize Jacob Collins as this week’s Student of the Week! 💙🤍

Jacob is a sophomore and the son of Paige Skoglund and Jacob Collins Sr.

Jacob participates in Student Council and Art Club and is a dedicated learner who consistently demonstrates an outstanding work ethic. He is respectful toward his teachers, patient and kind toward his classmates, and sets a wonderful example for his peers.

We are so proud of Jacob- not only for the work he does in the classroom, but for the way he treats others both inside and outside of school. He truly represents what it means to be a great citizen of NVAS!
