Carter is a hardworking student who is actively involved in the UP Construction Connect Program, gaining valuable hands-on experience and building skills for his future career. In addition to his school responsibilities, he also balances a part-time job, demonstrating dedication, responsibility, and a strong work ethic.

Congratulations to our Reading Olympians! 📚🏅
We had a huge turnout of Norway students participating in Reading Olympics this year! Each student had to read a minimum of six books to earn a spot on the team—and many students read even more.
Our students did an outstanding job in today’s competition, showing great teamwork, sportsmanship, and support for their fellow readers. We are so proud of their hard work and dedication!
The first place teams from each grade will move on to the Regional Competition in Florence on March 24.

Norway-Vulcan Elementary families are invited to our first-ever Family Learning Night—a fun, hands-on evening designed to help you support your child’s learning at home!
Inspired by our March is Reading Month theme The Wild Robot, this interactive event will give families the same strategies our teachers use every day to help our Knights grow in literacy and math.
✨ What to expect:
• Interactive learning stations led by teachers and Title I staff
• A “Knight’s Toolkit” take-home kit filled with learning resources
• Tips and strategies to make reading and math practice easier at home
• “Wild” snacks and refreshments
• Community partners, school swag, and raffle prizes

Meet Maddex Burklund, son of Ericka and Nathaniel Burklund, a Senior at Norway High School. Maddex stays busy with football, basketball, wrestling, baseball, and track, and is an active member of YAC and LEO Clubs.
Maddex is recognized as Student of the Week because he works hard, sets high expectations for himself, and achieves impressive goals. Even while recovering from an injury, he’s continued to be a positive leader and teammate—always cheering on others with genuine enthusiasm. Maddex approaches life with integrity, humility, and a smile that brightens any room. We’re proud of you, Maddex! 💛💙
