Dear Norway-Vulcan Area School Community,
I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Tony Adams and I was recently hired to be the new Norway Jr / Sr High School Principal and Athletic Director. As a graduate of Norway High School, it is both an honor and a privilege to serve our school community in both of these roles.
On a personal note, August will be an exciting month as my wife Jen and I will be celebrating 23 years of marriage and moving our two children, both recent Norway High School graduates, to their respective college and university. Family, education, and NVAS have been cornerstones in our lives.
I currently hold Michigan Department of Education licenses as an educator and administrator. This school year will be my 25th year in education with the majority of that time serving as a HS Social Studies teacher at NVAS. I also have two years experience as a principal and athletic director in another school district. I am passionate about cultivating an atmosphere where all students, staff, and families feel valued and empowered.
My primary goals for the upcoming school year are to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment; support the academic excellence of our school; foster open communication with all of our students, supporters of our students, staff, and community; and promote our school community values within our athletic department. Communication and active engagement are vital to our success and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our “Knights” family.
Together, we can strive to achieve our school district’s mission: to ensure the success of every child by providing a supportive environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
